Different loading units In the transport there are very many different units of measure of the goods’ quantity in use. Below there are described the most widespread units of measure of the goods’ quantity in the read and marine transport.
Tonnage of goods is established by different international requirements like overall dimensions and masses of the transport means authorised on the road.
The most widespread maximum units of measure of goods in the road transport are the following parameters:
24 000 kg,
34 EUR pallets (1 200 x 800 mm)
26 FIN pallets (1 200 x 1 000 mm)
85 m3 … 112 m3 (depending of the type of the trailer, full trailer or semi-trailer)
13,6 ldm (loading meters)

EXPLANATION EUR – EUR pallets (1200x800mm)
FIN – FIN pallets (1200x1000mm)
LDM – Loading meters (current meters of the length of the trailer)
m3 - Cubic meters together with the package
Kg - Kilograms together with the package
At the transport of the partial truck load, the transport price shall be calculated according to the highest indicator of the weight or volume of the goods. For example, 1 EUR pallet, 1 m3, 300 kg, shall be calculated as 1 EUR pallet. Here the highest indicator is EUR pallet. However, 1 EUR pallet, 1 m3, 1400 kg, would means the price of 2 EUR pallets respectively as the highest indicator here is the weight of the goods.
